Karl Marx and Communism
Communism-An economic or political system based on the sharing of all work and property by the whole community.The ideas of Marx were not used in the communist countries.In January 1846 Marx set up a Communist Correspondence Committee. The plan was to try and link together socialist leaders living in different parts of Europe. Influenced by Marx's ideas, socialists in England held a conference in London where they formed a new organisation called the Communist League. He thought that ht eggood gusy were workers and their bosses were bad guys.Marx believed that workers would control government, but communist governments were strict and dictatorial. Workers were often forced to work on huge collective farms and factory workers often had to fulfill quotas. In most Communist nations, the press was censored. They were not allowed to print news stories that criticized the government. People who spoke out against the Soviet government were treated harshly.

In 1832 and idealistic Italian man called Giuseppe Mazzini started his own nationalistic group with which he was planning to create nation states, in hope of bringing peace to Italy. All of the rebellions failed, as did in many places in Europe. Mazzini and other rebellion leaders where exile.In the end it was the Nation of Sardinia, the most powerful of the states in Italy who achieved the unification of Italy almost by accident, through careful diplomacy's, and powerful alliances.

Simon Bolivar and Latin American Revolutions
Simon Bolivar was one of South America's greatest leaders. Simon's parents died when he was young and he then inherit a fortune. Simon Bolivar had a excellent education, He lead several independant movements in throughout South America. Afterwards Simon Bolivar enter the group of patriots who seized Caracas in 1810 and proclaimed independence for Spain.When Simon returned to Venezula he then took control of the patriot army and recaptured Caracas in 1813 from the Spaniards. Bolivar was force to retreat from Venezula to New Granada (Columbia). Simon Bolivar took control of the command of the Colombian force and then got Bogota in 1814. In 1819 Simon went back and defeated the Spaniards. Simon organized an original republic of Colombia and became the first president. Bolivar defeated the Spanish army at Carabobo in Venezula on June 24, 1821 and added new territory in Educador.On August 6, 1825, Sucre called the Congress of Upper Peru which created the Republic of Bolivia in honor of Bolívar. The Bolivian Constitution of 1826 was personally written by Bolívar.

The nobles and clergy made up the First and Second Estates in the Estates General.Third estate people did not have power and freedom in politics.They worked hard and had to pay heavy taxes.
When Louis XVI finally called the Estates General to solve financial difficulties, the Third Estate did not agree with the unfair system of the Estates General. They formed the National Assembly to make a constitution. People were afraid that the king would suppress the National Assembly. They were also discontented that the king dismissed Necker, the popular Finance Minister. The hungry Parisians, who suffered from bad harvest, burst out their anger by attacking the Bastille prison .The Fall of Bastille started the French Revolution.The French people were inspired to go against their king.The success of the Americans to overthrow British rule encouraged the French to fight for their freedom.
